Placement Method: Dried dredged material was blended with flyash and proprietary formulations to produce an engineered landfill cover material to meet State regulatory specifications.
Substrate Type: Silt/Clay mixture
Project Size: Laboratory bench-scale tests (5 gallon), Field Demonstration (500,000 cu yd)
Project Costs: $2,400 laboratory, Field Demonstration cost unavailable
Monitoring: On-site testing was performed by the contractor to verify specifications were met.
Comments: Laboratory tests indicated little additives other than moisture were required to meet specifications. Flyash additions exceeded required specifications.
